“Ladylike?” is a Spring/Summer evening wear collection based around curse words. As a girl from New Jersey and the daughter of a truck driver, cursing is like a second language to me. I have always been told that it is not ladylike to use such foul language, and I wanted to flip the narrative and make it something feminine. This lineup of satin gowns from a distance appears to be classy and elegant, but up close has cheeky, hidden elements of hand embroidered and printed fabric showcasing nasty words and phrases. It is meant to be unapologetic, fun. graceful, and bold as the woman wears it.
